it's still in the box unwrapped.

I've read it done for a CC2 to play local content, but for in the car, a bluetooth adapter seems like it'd be so much simpler, and they're even cheaper.

Don't really know but this is $25 bucks and would probably be more useful in the long run.
I guess I would need a wireless AP unless the chromecast supports ad-hoc streaming.
