I was able to do it after failing my first try! You have to call Best Buy trade in support while in store. 1 (888) 602-6963 option 4 (trade in). They will speak with the manager or whoever they need...

Same story to me for ipad 2. Store manager tried to call customer's service representative but can't reach the guy whose sent out email to honer the $100 value. Hope BB could extend the deal soon.

for those saying they had an issue, have the csr bring up the online trade in and continue it in store. that's what we had to do, and it popped up at 112.00 hope that helps.

Yeah I tried that. I have two old ipad 2's we haven't used in years and none of the apple ID's we have will drop the activation lock.

Effing liars. I brought in an iPad 2 16GB WiFi in excellent condition with the print out of the $100 quote, to the Bestbuy in Framingham, MA. The store was only willing to pay $55. Bait and switch.
