Yeah my sheets are thick aluminum as scratched anyway which is why they probably hold the crud. They shine up great with the ringer

Whoa, I would have guessed it would harm the coating on that. I use it on Pyrex glass all the time though; those dried food bits are so annoying to get off glass.

I can attest to the bad reviews, bought one and returned it as it fell apart the 2nd day I owned it. My 1 star review is in their somewhere. As for as what it was made for it's for their cast iron...

I use a tbsp or two of Kosher salt and damp paper towel. Scrubs, cleans and retains your seasoning. Also, the occasional soap and water doesn't hurt things like some suggest.
