i know i let it do the work and don't cover the vents but it still gets hot. 8200 also got hot but not nearly as 4000.

let the tool do the work, take breaks for extended uses, and be sure to not cover the vents with your hands.

4000 is 1.6 amp. i just bought it. seems underpowered or maybe because i'm used to 5amp rotozip. Is it normal for dremel to get hot at 10-15000 rpm? my 4000 gets uncomfortably hot near the motor...

thank you for the tip I was hesitant but bought the OP posted one due to need. Canceled and bought the Wen instead. Dont need a sledgehammer to open peanuts

The Wen is very low quality. I have the Dremel and the Wen. I've had to replace the Wen once already due to a bad speed controller. The runout on the Wen makes it useless for trying to sharpen...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think a drill s power comes through its torque, a dremel relies on rpms at a velocity I assume your drill won't come close to matching.
