Got mine today. It was not a refurbished controller. Came sealed in the original box. Felt so good ripping the plastic off that thing. :)

You're lucky. Check the official Xbox forums sometime, they're full of complaints about these breaking. Though I'm not a fan of the company for personal reasons SCUF controllers are hands down...

These controllers actually have a serial number inside the battery compartment. The box has has the serial number on it as well.

I had to return the refurb i recenetly got from Best Buy. Came with a broken right bumper. The box had an "Opne Box" red sticker on it. I wont buy one of these refurbs again.

Ok figured it out. Go to Newegg.com instead of Newegg flash site and it will give you warranty options right above the Atl to cart bar. There you can add the warranty

i don't have the arm strength to push any button too hard. i'm 5' 3. i've never broke anything by pushing too hard. i'm one of the 5 people in the world who dualshock 4 controllers have NOT broken....
