Yeah I mostly sit at a desk all day at work lol. Lately I've been shaking my wrist when I look at my watch and a couple more times and it seems to help

I think it has to do with not getting a lot of movement on those particular days. I have the same issue with my watch. I'd say 1 day every other week it won't make the next morning. I've noticed it's...

I have a Hamilton watch that I wear from around 7 am til 5pm and then let it sit til 7 am again. Most of the time it doesn't retain its "charge" and I have to rewind it. Does it sound faulty? Thanks

My mistake, automatic is the better term. Thanks for the sarcastic rude reply, its par for the course online. Regards.

Presumably, if you knew what you were talking about, you'd know the difference between merely "mechanical" and "automatic" and not use the wrong term to confuse the masses.

This will likely be used for my Plat DD2 Rolex or the Patek 5712, my name is same on Rolexforums. The others are on their winders. I keep reading the snarky comments, but take them in good faith as...

A watch winder keeps the oils lubricating the seals and other mechanical movement pieces which allows the watch to last longer. Most perpetual swiss eta movements will stop after sitting a few days...

Ha! The description reminded me of the kitchen clock we had when I was a kid. Mechanical with a battery winder, made a 3 second or so hum when winding. Overnight guests always asked about the beast...

I have multiple mechanical watches. I don't need a watch winder. Guess why?. Please refrain from counting my millions as well - it sounds creepy and there're not that many to count :(

Never heard of that either. But I guess that can happen to watches that are not maintained. Omega dealer recommended maintenance every 5 years with free first maintenance. I intend to keep mine well...

Why does this have 3 power switches? looks like a good deal compared to the cheap ones you find on amazon for about the same or more.

It can happen if you leave your watch sitting around for months and then try to wind it. Happened to one of mine and had to shake it to kick start it. Not that common but not rare either. The longer...

Most people who have these watches have more than one. Generally, people only wear one at a time. Hence the problem. I take it you don't have many expensive watches?
