Sure you could, if you wanted to crimp new connectors on yourself. I'll probably be doing that with these, replacing some inside wiring that the service provider won't cover. It shouldn't matter...

thank you very much sir . i'm sure i could google all this but avoid RG59 ? i'm guessing quad-shield is shielded 4 times so less chance of interference ?

They screw on. The plastic end pieces are to make it easier to grip. They can be removed.
