Mine came with only 6 hours on the bulb according to the firmware, but it has been stated many times (and I've made this comment before) that ANYONE can reset the bulb time to 0 with the reset lamp...

I assume you are talking about eBay? Could you post any links to these $50-$60 bare bulbs that are known to be of high quality (i.e. OEM) that would work for a W1070 or HT2050?

Only for low lumen home theater projectors. Some of these are pure light cannons, like the conference room 4000-4500 lumen ones. They are meant for rooms with some light. Even the TH670 can be used...

You can get the bare bulbs for generally $50-$60, even the original OSRAMs that most come with. Just a matter of moving it between metal housings, which only takes a few mins.

For indoor light controlled home theater the 2050 will have way better contrast. For brighter rooms the the epson is better and the lamp is cheaper. I went with the 2050 because I am using for home...

Strictly for outdoor use - TH670 (3000 lumens) vs HT1070 (2000 lumens). 1070 should be a better projector, 670 has more lumens which is supposed to be importantl for outdoor use
