This slider that I have has an on/off switch at the bottom, slider on top. There's also a switch that allows you to set the brightness for the lowest slider setting.

Most of the sliders don't have a trim setting to tell the switch what the wattage threshold is for the sudden "off" and "on". For example... you might have the slider half-way up before the LED kicks...
