Just received.Same problem here.It's very visible.Horrible QC.otherwise sounds good.Not sure what to do..will call Amazon but they do not have it anymore..Not sure if Gibson will help. It was good...

My Epiphone LP has a satin finish. When I took it to luthier to have guitar set-up he mentioned how much he liked the satin because glossy finishes get sticky when situation is warm, sweaty etc,

Also note it has Satin / Unfinished Neck with open pore, you will feel some of the wood grain. It doesn't bother me at all, though if you want glossy finish neck, be aware.

Report back: just received the Gold Top from Amazon today. It was in sealed Gibson box, with its "baby picture" (nice tough) and QC checklist etc. The guitar is setup perfectly, and almost spotless...

Guess it depends on how you look at it. GC was more interested in protecting themselves than talking to parents, there could have been many more victims.
