Just commenting here for future searchers - this case is DOPE! Stresstesting my RetroPie would peg it at 85C. With this case, it never goes hotter than 60C. Amazing.

Ooooh, 'the guy who designs embedded systems' whom also edits his posts because he ostensibly cares more about the IPA guy's opines than meets the eye. :lmao: I am not the expert, it's just silly...

I disagree because I have a plastic case. Not sure how people can tell others who are actually running it this way day after day (who are probably the majority of people by the way) that their...

Haven't seen this explained so far... it's not just the case being metal. There's an aluminum protrusion of the top half of the case inside that directly touches the cpu, pulling the heat into the...

I have the fan you linked (purchase from eBay). It works very well, lowered temps 20 degrees C, BUT its loud as a motherf*ck. Bought this case for passive cooling so my living room can remain quiet.

Maybe it was 82C or 85C then, I don't remember exactly, but Retopie pegs at that temp, and complains of overheating. So what you get is a worse experience because the CPU is throttled. It's well...

Not sure what makes this a slick deal, I've seen and purchased some very nice strong plastic cases for much less. Seems to me having a metal case is more likely to cause issues with shorts and such...
