2 weeks ago these were going for 229 dollars in a few places, even vitamix itself had coupon bringing it down to 229 dollars. I am going to wait for a sale, xmas is right around the corner.

These blenders have been cheaper in past sales but if you need one now they are on sale at Sur La Table and Williams Sonoma. If you have an Amex card you may have a $10 off $50 offer at Sur La Table....
