They dont have to, but if you want to receive an apology from them or compensation. It’s much better to do it on BBB than Yelp. The outcome is better for the same effort

They don't HAVE to, they wanted to as it hurts their public image. I guess you're right that it does have a more negative view, but that's all they are doing, repairing their public image.

Nope, it has greater effect. I got $200 credit from tmobile before. And unlike yelp, they have to apologize officially to you or give you a satisfactory explanation.
