I don't think it is that. The only thing near the monitor is some small speakers and i moved those further away. The only other thing close would be the battery power unit which is at least 3 ft away.

Check to see if there is an updated BIOS for your system, many manufacturers have bios updates that address various sleep related issues.

electromagnetic interference. see whats close to monitor is causing that :)
