if you are willing to spend several hundred on it, the sigma 18-35 f/1.8 art is one of the best lenses ever made for crop sensors...... the focal range is small but the image quality is unbelievable...

I’m guessing this has drop so low because Sigma is supposed to announce their own 24-70mm at a photo show at end of month. Would be competition for this lens.

I think it's also a great time to load up on Canon gear while their bodies are terrible. Sony has great bodies but their lenses are $$$.

How do you measure sharpness ? Dxomark is just one way. Go use this lens on FF or Crop and check results yourself. It would be amateurish to believe dxomark is be all end all for sharpness...
