If that's the case then you should get smart switches where applicable. If nothing else, the motion sensor can act as a trigger to turn all lights off after a certain amount of time with no activity....

Absolutely worth it because of the limited options of the hue bulbs if connecting them directly to smartthings. At a minimum, just buy the older gen hub for 20 bucks off ebay.

I have quiet a few ppl in my family. They keep switching switches on and off so the bulbs won't be able to work properly with switches off :/

I use the motion sensor to control a decent portion of my downstairs lighting. It's really nice to be able to walk into the kitchen for a drink and have lights come on at 10% intensity, just enough...

When you take in account the other items at their LOWEST front page prices you are getting the hub for $55. bulbs: $8x2 sensor: $28 Retail for the sensor is $40 and $10 for each bulb.
