I've been on Cricket for the last two years with no complaints but the Simple $37.50 6gb LTE plan does look pretty good.

The E4 Plus is a much better phone. E4 non plus is comparable to the G4 Play but you can usually get the E4 for around $40ish

Depends on what you can afford, this is a great phone for a kid or back up. If you're looking for better specs/power sure it is. But not everyone wants to spend $300 on a phone.
