You don't need proof of purchase to have a ridgid tool serviced at an authorized ridgid dealer. I took a broken jigsaw and they fixed it on the spot and said if they couldn't they would shipped it...

Not really. I bought a ridged saw used for half the price of HD through this company and it has been two years with no issues. At this price, it’s worth the price without the warranty.

Read reviews of the 16g, it doesn't get terribly great ones. I was going to buy this last month at this price, but I wasn't sold. The 18g works like a charm though.
