So the pre-series is weak because you already know of the events because of the original series, but this one is the weakest because it isn't a story you've already been told?

Thanks, ive been needing to pick this up. I didmt wanna pay $12 for the kindle and audible combo though. Another series that is similar and as awesome or perhaps more so is the "cycle of arawn"...

If it is a stand-alone adventure is it readable by someone who isn't familiar with the series? Free is a good price, but not if it isn't independently readable
