doubt it especially on sunburst - ! - cause you still have wood grain ;) and tmk such wood grain being hand selected for front and back decks :) maybe ?! whatever your source is, they are referring...

I read that inferior wood is used for dark finishes like Sunburst because customers won't be able to see the grain through such finishes. Is this true?
