Are those multi-client? No. Also televisions compress the signal, often making text blurry.

Holy crap 3840 x 21609 resolution. Is this what they use for the Test your Strength game at the carnival instead of a bell now?

Nice! If the LG doesn’t perform as expected I am considering the X800E next.

Last year I spent a while trying to find the best 4k TV for monitor. You're 100% right the 6290 does use PWM brightness. Killed my eyes and had to return it. Went with a Sony x800d. It's fantastic.

From what I’ve read it specifically effects font. It can impact other elements, but it’s rare. Unfortunately I only had one night to play around with the 40” Samsung TV as a monitor before I had to...

I just ordered this from Costco to use with my MacBook Pro 2016 via USB C. Do you have any more information on this text issue? I’m concerned I may need to cancel my order.

Been doing that for 1.5 years, works great. And I LOVE leaning back and still being able to read small font. Next step: 75' 4K TV-Monitor.

Had one. Bad image retention and a weird gap around the edge of the screen (consistent with other reviews). Returned.

Anybody suggest a good 4k tv to use as a monitor given flicker, etc.?

Sure thing. I ordered one on Costco that should be delivered next week. There’s a good thread on Hardforum about the LG. First half or so of the pages are mostly about the 120hz PWM but then they get...

Also consider PWM frequency if you are sensitive to flicker. TVs typically use a lower frequency such as 120hz which can cause headaches/eye strain for some folks. Though there are some, like many of...

I'd say just buy a 4k tv and use that as your monitor. I've been doing that for about a year now.

Image retention issues. You've been warned. I learned my lesson.

FYI: 3840x2160 ... not 21609 :P The Amazon specs have an extra character at the end :P 21609 pixels in one direction would be very impressive on something this small :D

this is not a pro monitor.. Buh..... heck, pretty good for media consumption. although if you're doing -That-, then a samsung 4k 50 inch for $400 is even better
