Yeah, it has two way radio. And for the people concerned about the apps access to your contacts, you can turn that off (at least on android) and it still works just fine...

Happened to me. Fixed it by jiggling the cord out a bit instead of inserting all the way. Some of the cables are suspect as the previous poster states.

upon more research they may need to have permission to access your clips so that they can upload them to the cloud. if you turn off smart detection they shouldnt have access to those clips. not sure...
