Disagree. Windows 10 handles ram really well. For basic use, is fine. You wouldn't want to do heavy tasks in that, but that's not really who this model is aimed at anyway.

4gb memory is not even enough to run a basic terminal window. You need at least 16gb twin turbo super-charged ultra DD8 SDRAM to do that.

For what she wants to do, get her an iPad for 200-300. For a better deal, get one that's a generation or two older. There are usually plenty of brand new older gens available on ebay/amazon.
