I wonder if the camera should not be so visible? Though laws in some state say you have to publicly inform of video and/or audio recordings.

Helpful to record the interior if you are an Uber/Lyft driver but you have to let the riders know they are being recorded. some states may or may not allow audio recording.

The inside camera does help show what you were doing. Were you distracted driving? So it's not completely dumb, but it is nice to know if it's for the inside or the actual rear of the car.

Don't waste your time, get one that actually has a rear camera that is mounted at the rear of the car or purchase two separate cameras.

That's correct for this camera. They have cams where you can mount the second camera on the back window to record outside. Just have to hide the wires somehow.

yes. exactly. I returned mine since it is not a real rear dash but to record yourself in the car. if a car crashed on your back it could only tell you how bad your face was like at that moment.

One camera records the front of the car and the other records inside of the car not the "rear" I am expecting.
