Dying to find a decent surfcasting rod, already have the reel from a previous SD. Anyone have any surfcast (northeast) rods to recommend?

Yep! I usually try to stay under 7 foot on my kayaks. 6 .6 is usually my max and I love using the 5.6. I also have the dock demon and small rods like that. I like to take those on the kayak or my...

I've seen these for $10 to $15 at Walmart on clearance. So I'd check brickseek to see what the price is instore first.

For 6$ more, I'd go with this. https://www.amazon.com/Okuma-ROX-Spinning-Combo-Medium/dp/B00LV00CZG/ref=pd_sbs_200_2?_encoding=UTF8... I'm a fan of Okuma fishing gear, so I may be a bit biased.

6ft mediums can be used for a lot of species if you kayak fish. Because the way physics works, kayak fishing allows you to get away with a smaller rod. I have used 6ft medium rods for some...

Can you recommend a good rod it real for catfish and stripers manufacture
Post #110901951 added 01-12-2018 5:52 AM by punch in Hot Deals
No, a medium power 6 foot rod is way too light for those species. This rod would be good for crappies/walleye/pike/bass.
