I can do it with my ATT one, no problem - my 2 other phones are unlocked and I just swap into whichever phone has a full charge.

Sounds like somebody didn't know any better. My spare Motorola G4 was only $49 a few months ago, much more up to date than that LG :) works great with a Tracfone Sim.
