Theoretically yes, but the speed of the free data roaming internationally is too slow to really make a clear voice call IMHO.

while lyft works with VOIP numbers just fine, uber on the other hand only lets you sign up with a VOIP # but blocks you from booking rides, if you have a method around this please let us know.

I'm guessing that it's because they give out a number that identifies as "VOIP".

I've been using my GV number with Lyft and Uber for years with no problem. I haven't used the FreeRange number yet. You can try calling FreeRange CS to verify:1-800-216-0280
