It depends who your broker is. Some brokers allow to reinvest dividends, others do not. I personally do not prefer reinvesting dividends as i can make a buy if the market was to go down.

That is your choice to have have the dividends reinvested. When you purchase the stock, they will ask if you want the dividends reinvested. Once again, your choice.

Cherry picking. You always ignore the dividend. Which is the point of NLY. So convenient for you not to factor that in. I guess you're OK with leaving out facts that disagree with your narrative....
