It is shorter than I expected so I had to move my switch two slots up. I thought that 0.5-meter will be length of the cable without end modules.

I received mine yesterday. It is indeed an assembly, not just a cable. I hooked it up between my 8 port POE switch and my 24 port switch and it worked instantly. Thanks again. Now I need a...

Well it obviously depends on your use, ANY noise was not acceptable to me as my switches are in my bedroom closet right by my bed. This is an important piece of information for those who want quiet.

Any will work, just get a copper cat6 SFP. I have used a few different brands with Ubiquiti switches, they all worked. If it says Cisco compatible it should be fine.

He's talking about the ubiquiti cameras, that run on a server or preconfigured DVR from them (which doesn't allow the sure to be wired in that manner)

Yeah this seems like the right answer. It would do a better job of managing the cameras anyway and also save the need for all those extra ports.

If your IP cameras have IR, you need to spec for when that turns on at night which is usually all at once. Buy fanless and buy above your PD requirements.

Just freeing up PoE ports for other purposes/device. Absolutely no performance gain here.

Great idea. Interested in the SFP port that you bought. Model/link would be awesome. Thanks
