It wasn't an i7-8700, it was an i5-8400. They perform about the same in most game benchmarks (i5 even wins some, sadly). I think he's just saying he doesn't need a gaming machine, but a media editing...

I dont know why they call something with a 1060 a "gaming" anything. Its not gonna get 144 frames on jack shit my as well get a console. You can forget about 4k as well. Its a entry level desktop.
