I don't have this plug, but I bought the Best Buy plug and have type my Best Buy login password all the time on the app. Some stretches of time the plug does not respond to the app.

Yep, more junk to overload the 2.4 mHz spectrum. Better off with 433 mHz remotes and an rpi or hook setup.
