As much as I want to love ring having two cameras and a gen 1 doorbell I wold recommend looking at alternatives as the delay on the motion is nothing to be Happy about.

It's not 24/7 recoding with the SkyBell. It only records when the bell is pressed or it detects motion (you can turn off motion detection).

Monthly fee is $3 or $36 per year. Yearly fee is $30. I wouldn't call that "exorbitant" particularly in comparison to Nest or Arlo if you were to compare brands. Sure, Blink might be "free" for now...
