I have a drone and did buy DJI Care/Refresh, but still not eligible. I'm guessing the drone has to be bought through DJI. What give? DJI Select give you discount on other things, not only DJI...

Being a DJI Select member is the only way to get 50% off DJI Care. Here's the message I get when on the DJI Select page under my account.

Dji select is an abo, where you get 50% off dji care.
Here is an example:
Dji select + Dji care with 50% off = nice
Mavic air: 29$ + 44,5$= 73,5(89$)
Phantom 4: 29$ + 109,5$= 138,5(219$)
......
