Canned food is good for an extra 2 years from expiration date. I bought all the jars though. I strain them in a strainer and put them in another glass jar. You get way more for the value.

I actually ordered the glass jars instead of the tins again. The ones in the glass jar have a more tender taste and taste even better in my opinion. But beware, you will likely have shipping issues...

The liquid that it's packed in will influence the flavor. Also the EVOO is especially useful if you make a salad or vinaigrette of some sort.

Just for anyone's reference, the smaller ones are about 38 cents per oz, these are about 33c per ounce, so it is indeed cheaper. I'm gonna stick with the smaller packages though. Easier portion...
