I had to bail on the Skybell doorbell bc I had no way to connect the digital adapter to a transformer.
The new blink doorbell maybe won't require the digital doorbell adapter.

Correct. The alerts are 12 seconds. After viewing the alert you can view the whole motion event...and then record from sd card to your phone. So if motion lasts 3 mins...you will get a 12 second...
