Ha....mine had this problem....ended up replacing the sticky switch with almost an exact match from my local surplus store. Good as new....BUT....I sure will take a new, replacement or gift card.

Thanks for posting! I know what fails there, that chinsy flimsy plastic bit on the knob that pushes the actual switch. It brakes off and normally the saw would not turn on. I had to fix mine...
