This is not the case if you buy a new product from an authorized seller. The warranty will be honored for an authentic bose product if you can show you bought from an approved seller.

I just called Bose and asked to speak to a supervisor. asked him abt the ebay for front row electronics. They did confirmed front row is authorized. both website and ebay store.
