Applying thermal paste is about as difficult as applying toothpaste. Installing a motherboard is a lot more difficult than installing a cpu fan.

Why not use Innovation Cooling's graphite thermal pad? Linus Tech Tips did a review on it and it performed better than thermal paste and it was reusable. No need to worry about it drying up on you....

If you're looking for any kind of value, you might as well remove Intel from the list. 2700x is really just a slightly overclocked 1800X. Just get the latter.
