Those are not the same type of peaches. These white premium peaches almost never sold for lower than $1.49 when fresh, even though I've seen $0.99 cherries fresh multiple times.

In NJ the quality is great. I don't remember we even had white peach last week, but this week's is not even ripe. They look beautiful and the price is great.

Peaches & nectarines are $5.99 (SF Bay Area) but white nectarines were soooo ripe and smooshy (yuck!).
They were $10.99 till last week and was cheaper to get it from local Safeway for $1.50/lb.

Probably differs by state and store but the several central nj stores at least seem to have good consistency. They do differ a little from time to time.

Peaches are high in pesticides. Organic is the best and only kind I would eat. I don’t know if Costco’s are.
