Agreed, Noctua is top notch if you can afford it. Their massive air coolers regularly give cheaper 120mm liquid coolers a smackdown, and often keep up with 240mm for lower TDPs. If you have a small...

Good point - I guess whenever I would OC back in the day, I'd buy coolers known to handle the heat so I wasn't worried about that aspect. Also, back then I was the bigger the better case and moar...

I was talking about prime95 for testing the cooler, not stability testing. Prime95 small FFTs generate a lot more heat than the Intel stress test, so you can be sure the cooler can handle anything...

I actually jumped on an AMD rebate for the Ryzen 5 1600 for 30$ card. It actually didnt require any mailing. I was sooo surprised and happy. A week ago I realized I never got the rebate and contacted...

Ryzen is more voltage limited than thermal limited. You might get a tiny bit more overclock, but mostly you are wasting your time and money on what is a side-grade at best. Unless you just want to...

The pins are identical, they will slide if you move it, but they stay in place otherwise. I have them on a non oc 4790k and they have gone as high as 70c during my benchmarks. I have experienced the...

I do not trust those push pins and haven't for a decade or whenever Intel thought those abominations were a good idea. Have they gotten better - sorta. Are aftermarket ones with push pins typically...

its not an oversimplification. As long as it keeps temps down it will be fine. if it doesn't have a bracket for that socket then why does it matter? its not compatible.

Which Ryzen stock coolers would benefit from this as an upgrade? I have a Ryzen 5 2600X on the way.

That is a gross oversimplification, the poster was asking for the specific overclocking potential on his 65W TDP processor. You also cannot overclock with just any cooler - this cooler will...

This fan can do low RPMs. I wouldn't leave it off, but would rather set it at

I have this in my build, works fine. Great price, paid a lot more a few years ago. Sure there are better coolers out there, go pay more for them...

You can overclock with any cooler. Let's get that out the way. Is it the best? No. Is it better than any/all Intel cooler? Yes is it better than Ryzen stock coolers? Some.

For stock/mild overclock, the T2 will be fine for your 65W TDP processor. The H7 is a good choice if you want to overclock, and it can handle overclocking even the larger AMD processors if you decide...

Overpaid for different models of stock coolers? They come with the cpu, stupid. Or did you mean I purchased a stock cooler replacement? I have several coolers of different price ranges. As I do...
