I bought the tool (minus batt) last week for $249. Gonna take it back to the store and buy this instead. The addition of the battery makes this almost a buy one get one free type of deal for me.

I bought the edger without the battery. That's the only EGO thing I've paid retail for but it's worth $129. I'm surprised it hasn't gone on sale yet. They are waiting for you to buy it first.

This is a great saw but not for bucking large trees. I could buck about a log length 22 in diameter tree before the battery would die. That is a big diameter log though.
