I once cross threaded a lug nut and to remove it by force I tore it off the stud with a breaker bar, simply shearing off the threads.so yea, you can apply a ton of force with a breaker.

I don't need to be, I'm smart like that. The Harbor Freight 1/2" breaker bar is capable of at least 300 ft-lbs of torque (and likely much more) before it will break. No wheel stud can handle...

No way in the world would a 1/2" breaker bar snap loosening a lug nut, not possible. The stud would slip (and spin with lug not on) or break LONG before that happens.
