In that case maybe you should check your equipment and make sure you have a regulator on it. Requiring the hose to have a regulator (so it fits your unknown application) increases the price.

Because a valve is not a regulator and blowing up 1lb of propane is not the same as blowing up 20lbs of propane.

Why would you need one on a hose unless what ever you're hooking it up to doesn't have one? There is a valve on the tank.
