The main difference is the number of power levels (9 for Ikea, 20 for the 9600). Unless all you're doing is boiling small amounts of water, a lower wattage with more power levels gives much greater...

I've been following this on a price check site since last Fall and was hoping for $80. It's one of the higher level versions of an induction unit, usually costs $100, and it has pretty good reviews....
