As mentioned the "D" stands for duplex. The both do duplex printing, however between those two models only the 733 does automatic duplex scanning (731 does not either).

Yes, those models print duplex (also fax/copy/scan duplex). The D in CDW stands for auto duplex printing.

there are two settings of interest, one is forcing printing even when the page counter has reached it's limit and the other is forcing black and white (even though color is out).

no, this is not an inkjet or dye sub, this is a laser and they will look like photos just not a photo printer. it's better for documents, graphs etc.
