my cx430w just fried in my htpc build that has a g3258 (not OC) and a 560ti gtx. i purchased it in in June 2013. 5 years, 8 months is pretty good. I left it only probably on average 20hrs/day

The CX 450 is a new model from 2017. It is far better than the old cx430 which was terrible.

even in the case of a CX430, it supplies 28A - so figure 1 HDD even add 2 WD Blacks (3amps total) still some headroom there. ideal no - dangerous hardly... still within spec

Anyone has experience on the coil whine of this psu ? My two evga psu all now make this high pitch noise after some usage. And it’s louder than the amd cpu fan and the case fan combined.

you probably had a HX or TX from way back, the CX4xx have been made by CWT for ages, the CS450 was Great Wall, their VX may have been Seasonic but not the CX.
