Got Poe+ injector and old router w/o internet. Connected to cam via Ethernet on laptop using Rio software. Have been able to record locally to my SD card in the laptop.

Wyze latest firmware has issues that doesn't let one record locally any more. Wyze cam has to be connected to the network to record. Not sure when they will come up with new firmware to fix the bug....

There are a ton a strange remarks in this thread. Just because a camera has a 5mp label does not mean it is equal to every other camera that has 5mp label. YMMV is very true in the security camera...
