It's funny; I saw him on Sat. at a St. Patrick's Day parade but he didn't ask me about the RAM status. He had been drinking a lot, so I'm assuming it wasn't on his mind at that moment. :harhar:

If he's not interested in the performance bump from an SSD, pretty sure he won't notice 8gb more RAM.. Give him an IOU and get it in a year or two :)

Assuming that you don't reach ~80%+ of the RAM on a consistent basis, an SSD would be the about the biggest bang for your buck from a performance standpoint, especially with them being dirt cheap...
