That is what I originally did. Only to find out it would have been better to spend the extra $10 for the larger, square shaped model. I use mine at least 3 to 4 times a week, and just love how well...

Per Costco Couple website, it looks like the store could have both. Mine only has the 5 qt and the Philips. They should each be $5 cheaper in store. Will try to confirm later.

I have the 6 quart and there's no plastic inside the cooking area. There's a non-stick coated base plate that's the size of the cooking area and a 'chrome' wire rack. Neither are plastic AFAIK. ...

Bought the 6 qt one in December, broke on day one. There is this plastic tongue and groove mechanism on the tray insert and it's built shoddily
