I bought a pair of these, mostly for the increased size. I have very large hands, but these things were even more uncomfortable than the plain joycons. Not sure why, but they were harder to hold.

Picked up a pair and used them for Mario Party. They give the joycon some mass and size for adult hands. Very happy with purchase! The battery charging is not why I purchased them.

I own them. The grips for me made the joycons more comfortable to use however that is about the only plus. The battery will drain even when it's off. You also have to take this thing off everytime...

I was hoping they can work like battery maintainer to keep the joy-cons charged when not in use. But reviews all say they drain the AA batteries fast even not in use.

Yea, maybe if one uses this system on the fly a lot and does not want to bring charging shit. If I use this system on the fly, it will be for short bits.
